School Age Programs

After school program runs k – 6

Our program compliments the elementary school programs. Our goal is to provide a happy, fun-loving atmosphere for children coming to our Center after school.

The environment is planned to stimulate imagination, creativity, socialization, exploration and discovery while challenging the use of muscles important to developing bodies.

The program we pursue is geared toward helping children develop habits of observation, questioning and listening. It gives each child an awareness of one’s own feelings and of one’s right to express those feelings, sometimes channeling them into more appropriate means of expression. The children learn that they are free to make choices as long as they stay within the limits of consideration for other people and things.

Although there is supervision, we eliminate the regimentation of school work by relaxing them with happy activities.

We offer math, letters, and homework assistance to all school age children.

Holiday & End of the Year Shows

We have our annual shows in December and June and we encourage all children to participate in this very special event. Our Kid’s Club members handle the acting roles while our other children make up the supporting roles and cast of dancers. It is wonderful to see upwards of sixty young people working together to create a performance piece they can truly call their own.

Throughout the rehearsal process, the children gain greater self-confidence and self-esteem while also developing social skills of cooperation, compromise, and creative expression. The final reward of this collaboration comes the night they perform for their family and friends. It is truly an extraordinary memory for all!

Permission slips are sent out in early Spring. Information regarding the show will be updated by our Theatre Staff.
